Best Place In Bergen County For Waxing
Item 2 Publishing reinvents the handheld with the ultra-pocket! The Rise of
Accustomed to receive press releases in my mailbox (ie: mailbox), I admit that it has attracted more than usual my attention!
Already, we learn that Les Editions du Seuil will soon have a new subsidiary named Item 2 ! For the record, Threshold is already an old publishing house (founded in 1935) and Points is their collection bag (now considered full-fledged editor, but always under the umbrella of La Martiniere).
Already, we learn that Les Editions du Seuil will soon have a new subsidiary named Item 2 ! For the record, Threshold is already an old publishing house (founded in 1935) and Points is their collection bag (now considered full-fledged editor, but always under the umbrella of La Martiniere).
With Point 2, it seems they have decided to redefine the purpose book deal with the threat of digital technology. With the new concept of the book offers .2 (an idea that comes from the Netherlands), it combines the comfort of playing with a compact, ideal to play anywhere! With pages that turn, it fiddles, that leaf sniffing the smell of paper!
us explain this concept:
1. The ultra-pocket
This is obvious at first glance! This book will 8 * 12cm ! For comparison, a conventional paperback book is 11 * 18 cm. Or if we think in area, 96cm vs 198cm ² ² = 2 times smaller!
2. The reading direction
At the opening, we will be surprised. The reading direction is different, deflected by 90 °. The lines are parallel to the wafer. Instead of reading the first page of the left and right page, read it first top of page then the page bottom. Police were adjusted accordingly (rule of thumb, I'd say it looks like the Arial). It looks to me very readable Anyway. Remains to be seen whether it adapts well to how to turn the pages! :)
3. A paperback
There, on that point, having the subject in hand, I can still judge the quality) It promises a sewn binding that would offer "tremendous flexibility but also extreme strength "which would allow" your book is finally opened to the selected page, as you were standing with one hand or be laid flat . On paper (Ohoh), it seems perfect. I think it will be verified quickly at the fact that it remains open, remains to be seen but the strength of the whole.
Finally, on quality paper, they also promise a paper "very thin, lightweight, sufficiently clouded" with "lines printed back to back to avoid interference." I admit that the "fine" is a little scary. To see then. Cons by ecologists will be pleased to know that it is "an ecological production process" xD So, check it also is not revolutionary, it's not what interests me.
But in any case, I look forward to this new book format!
The date of the "first batch" consists of 9 tracks is scheduled for April 14, 2011 in bookstores! Attention by cons, "black spot" prices are higher than cons pockets classic! takes between 9.9 and 13 €! For my part, I was thrilled nonetheless recognizing two tracks that are in my wish-list:
* Road by Cormac McCarthy (432 pages cons 251p. for version pts)
* Everything is under control of Hugh Laurie (cons 648p. 425p. for version Points)
The other 7 tracks are: *
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
* Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay
* Chronicles of hate ordinary Pierre Desproges
* Poet by Michael Connelly
* Contrary winds Olivier Adam
* The fifth wife of Henning Mankell
And May-June 2011: *
Jar City by Arnaldur Indridason of
* Death at La Fenice by Donna Leon
* Lying on the couch by Irvin Yalom
* From Swann's Way by Marcel Proust
* The Faces of Jesse Kellerman
* The Falls by Joyce Carol Oates
* Patience in the blue Hubert Reeves (this one interests me too, special dedication to El Jc;))
* The New Testament
Well, I finally was quite full for the first time I put the news on my blog. For a good cause, I like nice concepts like that. One day, I also hope you can talk about e-book, I'm not against it. As they say, must be tested before criticizing:) See you soon !

Amsale Wedding Gowns In Chicago
Zelphire, Volume 2: Blood Prince Karim Friha
4th cover:
After battling the infamous Dr. Graves, the taste Zelphires a well deserved rest. Only Sylvan, man-tree, wanders like a lost soul, mourning his lost love. But this lull was short-lived. While the Republic of Béremhilt prepares to celebrate its 20 years, Victor Vilnark decided to invite to the party. If the son of the deposed dictator's coup succeeds, this twentieth anniversary will be the last.
Genre: fantasy comics
edition read: Gallimard collection Bayou (2010) - 118 pages
I again thank the Editions Gallimard for sending me this title! Chronicle of Volume 1 is here .
The Rise of Zelphire 2 focuses on Vincent, the son of the deposed dictator, the "Blood Prince" from the title . We will discover the dark past of this character and the reasons that prompt him to bring down the Republic's peaceful Béremhilt. I liked this character by his side mid-evil, semi-sweet because even when it becomes a bloodthirsty monster, it's hard to blame him.
Beside, there is also the character of Volume 1: Sylvan friendly, man-tree, the seductive woman octopus Seraphine and the intrepid Professor Werner . This trio of young heroes with Zelphires will therefore face the "Blood Prince." One of the advantages of comics, both in volume 1 or volume 2 is that the story ends at the end of the 120 pages. It's been a little like the independent episodes of some TV series (I think especially in Smallville season 1), each volume has its villain, its history and its conclusion. It is therefore not frustrated at the end of waiting for the next book (as it may be the case with every odd Largo Winch Volume where the volume pair must wait because it works in pairs. The only problem 1 year ago and a half between each volume: S).
The story is pretty focused on action and there is no downtime . Still being discovered in the past as a pretext for advancing in the present. In backstory, we also have the love story between Sylvan and his ex-girlfriend. A thread that appears at the beginning and end of comics. But for the romantic, do not worry, there are also love and feelings meantime.
The highlight of the wake of the foot remains Zelphire graphic. As I said in my previous column, drawing and the colors are gorgeous . The architectural style of the city is beautiful (Renaissance). For novices, I do not think there will be any problems of understanding (it's not like the manga where the design is often messy and where you never know who is who or what is happening in certain boxes ...).
Conclusion: the series keeps going! This Volume 2 is neither better nor worse than the last. I look forward to reading more:)

VO Title: The Sea Beggars , book 1: The Mark of Ran (2004)
Released in France in 2008 by Editions du Rocher. Reissued in paperback in 2010.
Thanks to Pocket Book for sending this book in partnership with Livraddict!
Let the adventure now!
In this novel, as stated in the summary, it therefore follows a young hero, Cortishane Rol, who lives on a small island, Dennifrey, living in a secluded place with his adoptive family. That's when it is literally butchered but he manages to escape on board a coaster (a small boat). Moments earlier, his grandfather gave him directions to reach Ascari, the capital of Gascar (another island in the Seven Islands ) but more importantly he admits that it is not human ! Faced with such turmoil, no family, no marker, with a lot of questions in mind, he joined the mage Psellus who lives in a large lathe Ascari. Part of his teenage Ascari will be counted in the first half of the novel.
confess that the first chapter of this first part scared me. Very dense, with little dialogue, lots of descriptions, captions, limit incomprehensible ... Fortunately Chapter 2, which has the massacre of the family and the flight of Rol is a different tone, very fluid and very well paced that swallows pages without problem.
What surprised me later upon arrival at Rol Ascari (Chapters 3 & 4) is decidedly adult tone of the novel . One could almost speak of a mix between the fantasy of the dark fantasy and adventure novel. The city is very ill-repute, with prostitutes, thieves and weird people everywhere. One feels a certain stench, some shadow that hangs over this city. I found that the author was well past the emotions in a few sentences. Later, it realizes that this is definitely an adult novel. Rape, sex uninhibited, murder in cold blood, does not laugh! The characters are not smooth at all. Psellus example, does not reveal itself as the mentor you might think. Rol in the Tower of Ascari will suffer and have to wait before having his moment of glory!
I was talking to a first part (roughly half the novel), are now talking about the second (without spoiler). After the events of Ascari is made a leap of 7 years. Side " Marine " claimed (and highlighted on the cover) comes into force. The title of the series finds its meaning ("The Beggars of the Sea" in VF or "The Sea Beggars" in original). It takes a little time to get used to adapt new maritime terms because after spending a long time on Earth, it starts at sea! The pace is still very high, the adventure continues and we are never safe from a rebound. I do not know what part I would prefer, each has at least a remarkable thing. In the first part, I would say the relationship Rol-Rowen (the latter being in the service of Psellus magician, a beautiful creature on which fantasy Rol. The second is the whole purpose that I conquered including the few pages where we follow the construction of a ship.
Definitely, I never got bored while playing. The two parts of the novel are very different and complement each other perfectly. If you are looking for fantasy tinged with magic and ancient prophecy and an adventure novel sulfur on land and sea, then this Seal of Ran is for you.
Note: The only unfortunate thing about this series is by cons she will probably never end . Indeed, this saga was scheduled for 4 volumes but while the third volume was almost finished, the British publisher, Bantam, arrested publication. It is therefore only 2 volumes in original and only 1 in VF! But quality is the appointment so I really recommend you to discover the adventures of Rol! Personally, I will follow this author. Orbit Publishing out soon the first volume of his new saga "The Match" 10,000 - In the Heart of the Empire . And there is also another saga already published (and over): The divine monarchy in 5 volumes (Editions du Rocher).

Dr. House: the official book by Ian Jackman
's a lot of things, is not it! And yet, is that the resume! Anecdotes, there is a shovel! In addition, it is very fun to read. It is well written, condensed and it alternates between interviews with the blocks of information. In terms of layout, there is nothing wrong!
Moreover, in the middle of the book, you'll also find exclusive photos in color (on glossy paper) the filming. There are also some pictures in the chapters.
With a foreword by Hugh Laurie (Dr. House).

(4th cover)
Title VO: House, MD: The Official Guide to the Hit Medical Drama (2010)
Thanks to Editions Michel Lafon for sending me this wonderful book that impassioned high sériephile I am!
From the first pages, I was already conquered by foreword by Hugh Laurie , very well written, full of poetry and anecdotes, comparisons and even on his acting and what led a British actor has come to the States to take an American accent and become, through hearings, a (false) doctors recognized (the book gives to evidence a 2009 survey which, by combining the audiences of all TVs in the world, says House is the most watched TV show in the world ).
Then comes a dozen chapters soaked anecdotes about 2 axes :
1 - to discover the scenes of the series , casting to achieve through writing, special effects, costumes ...
2 - through interviews key players, detail every character in the series.
are alternated so traveling both outside and inside the series!
* * *
By cons, for those who do not want to be spoiler, this book is for those who have seen the end of season 6! Indeed, this book has clearly been written during the filming of this season, there are many elements that continue the evolution of House after the cliffhanger season finale 5. In the final minute, the conclusion of the book also talks about the cliffhanger end of season 6.
But I promise, I do not storyline spoil this! ;)
But I promise, I do not storyline spoil this! ;)

Returning on two axes. First, interviews. So you can read the impressions of the following actors who discuss the series, their respective characters but also their acting profession:
- Jennifer Morrison (Dr. Allison Cameron)
- Peter Jacobson (Dr. Chris Taub)
- Jesse Spencer (Dr. Robert Chase)
- Omar Epps (Dr. Eric Foreman)
- Olivia Wilde (Thirteen, No. 13 or Dr. Hadley)
- Lisa Edelstein (Dr. Lisa Cuddy)
- Robert Sean Leonard (Dr. James Wilson)
- Hugh Laurie (Dr. Gregory House)
There's a passage with Robert Sean Leonard that made me laugh too! This guy is really unheard of. Hugh Laurie as much emerges as a workaholic , as studios 6h to 20h, as RSL, it is a big lazy ! He says himself:
He thinks only one thing: "go home with his children and his wife at 18:30. For him, the series is just his job, it pleases but his main motivation, initially was that "it was better paid than the theater" (His true passion). I admit that her interview put me on the ass! So in step with the other actors!
"I am the most lazy on the board, maybe even all of Los Angeles. I do not work. When I had my first audition for this series, j 'also had an audition for Numb3rs . I had to choose between the two, and Numb3rs there were too many scenes. Too much dialogue to learn. I thought, ah, it's so tiring "I agree be the Schneider House MD [Dwayne Schneider, the handyman in the days "]. You arrive in a scene in eight, and you say" And the pipes are ...". I ' likes that role. I like being the one who has 2 or 3 scenes per episode. "
He thinks only one thing: "go home with his children and his wife at 18:30. For him, the series is just his job, it pleases but his main motivation, initially was that "it was better paid than the theater" (His true passion). I admit that her interview put me on the ass! So in step with the other actors!
For backstage is a real hyper detailed dive which was right. After reading this book, you can imagine how easily happens every day in the studio and feel the working environment that prevails there. Each chapter is interspersed with dialogues by Ian Jackman (the author of this book Official) with different members of the production (as creator David Shore, producers, directors, screenwriters ...)
The chapters cover (in order):
- the creation of the series (we discover how the idea germinated, how the pilot was produced, what are the requirements for renewing the chain ... )
- writing (A mammoth organization. David Shore gives the direction of the series and each writer writes his party. They are few but effective.)
- production (long week for everyone! 2 chapters address all the technical aspect of the series)
- casting (where how each actor / actress was chosen and in what circumstances. An anecdote for example: during the pilot, the Director Bryan Singer ( X-Men, Superman Returns ) did not want an Englishman, he thought it would be a waste time to teach her American accent while filming had to be done quickly. But Hugh Laurie, while on a shoot in Syria, sent a video by accident while returning from a tough session in the desert. He is unshaven and filthy. It is pleasing to one of the producers said that "we have our man." Singer retorted "why not, but we continue to look." 4 months later, Laurie recalled. It does not even remember the video of this series or that his agent had spoken to him briefly. He made the trip from London to Los Angeles on his own. He arrived at the hearing, he has not even started, everyone knows it will be taken. He is Dr. House.)
- special effects medical (some on various accessories ... how to have realistic fake blood, needles, surgical ...)
- Construction of House (including the apartment of season 6. it also addresses the provision of 3 studios in Hollywood (one of the only series to have as many apparently), the fixed plates, decorations temporary trouble that they have had for destroying a setting that could have been used then ...)
- the look of House (some dedicated the costume, where they find the clothes, how they rank and class. For example, we learn that they keep all the clothes of the main actors in a large hangar.)
- props and special effects (every little accessory is meticulously followed. chosen anecdote: when they buy an accessory, like a lighter, they're buying 7 or 8, because if a lighter is lost, should not that production is stopped because of that ... hence the increased costs while at the screen, a lighter one will be published)
- visual effects and final assembly (the final rush for editors! While directors must always take 6-7 weeks ahead of schedule broadcast of the channel, post-production ( Adding effects, sound, cutting and editing images) takes time and each time, the episode always comes to the last minute in the broadcast studios!).
- the themes of the series ("everybody lies" ... Through numerous examples, we rediscover some episodes of the series, explained by their writers and the author)

Outlaw and Exiles, Volume 2, James Clemens
4th Cover
Elena is now mark the sor'cière in the palm of his hand.
The scarlet stain is evidence of a fabulous gift to the power of unimaginable power wild, seductive, difficult to control. Only those who master the magic can oppose the bloody and evil creatures of Lord Black. Elena is not yet master of his power. Protected by an ageless warrior and a band of renegades, she goes looking for a lost city where, according to prophecy, a mystical book holds the key to the defeat of Lord Black.
But if it is found first, Elena will become his most terrible weapon ...
Lu Milady edition (2009 - pocket - 632 pages).
Also available at Editions Bragelonne (2007 - large format - 501 pages)
My opinion:
After finishing with a flourish in 2010 with Volume 1 of this saga Fantasy this brilliant, and the Banished Exiles will also have the privilege to start the year 2011 on a BANG! Not content with having managed to seduce me at the last second (2nd in my top 2010!) the saga keeps going and I still passionate for these 632 pages! A real stone! To say that Volume 3 is almost 800 pages, I saliva ahead ...
In this volume will, therefore, we find Elena Sor'cière our beloved, surrounded by his faithful companions as we found throughout Volume 1, including the brave Knight Er'ril stands, the Mountaineer and og're Tol'chuck Kral, 3 interesting characters, each with its own characteristics. Their goal: to reach the city of Val'loa.
The story begins on a flying! Upon leaving the village of Montagnards, they cross a forest haunted by the Horde! It consists of thousands of spiders that have transformed the beautiful forest green lint. To show you how much we do not laugh in Outlaw and Exiles , I can reveal a small detail crisply: spiders out of the vagina of a Malegarde the splendid creature coverage: Vira'ni. It also walks around naked in the forest, you can imagine (whistling). Finally there is the adult fantasy, not much room for romance and love, there's action, bravery, people die, what is war! You Do not Mess with the Black Heart!
The first part will have the opportunity to compete with this first Malegarde . After Skaltums, these horrible winged monsters that haunted Volume 1, Volume 2 is mostly centered on these new creatures more powerful . These are men and women transformed (s) by the Heart of Black soldiers in an extreme power through black magic that surrounds them. It makes you want to know what the author, James Clemens, had provided for more! They will unfortunately not all creatures as delicious as Vira'ni, but I shall say no more!
The mythological side is still developing with some revelations about the power of Elena but the discovery of Val'loa where there are three characters of the first volume: the 2 black mages Greshym Shorkan and accompanied by brother Elena, Joah. Again, we follow the parallel stories!
It is even more complex when the troop Elena separates to escape a terrible danger! And even when the author introduces new characters: the Sy'wen Me'rai (a so people Seabed whose companion: an aquatic dragon !), the Bloody Kast (a descendant of a sailor missing line) and 2 members of an ancient cult to complement our information on various magic of this world. I loved the introduction of these new characters, they bring freshness to the story, probably the effect of sea water! Must also say that I'm a fan of the dragon fish and the relationship Sy'wen / Kast that grows!
short, there are many characters but they are so well fed sparingly one is never lost, we remember who's who thanks to catchy names and well distinctive of each "race".
The Saga of the Outlaw and Exiles is a must for fantasy and I recommend it to all lovers of the genre! This Volume 2 is a continuation of the first, as good or better because you already know the characters and the action never stops until reaching the peaks at each end of the game! Impossible to get bored with Elena and her band!
for messing around, I said I would put Final 9.6 instead of 10 in Volume 1 to leave room for others, well, I am the movement: 9.7 / 10 !
Volume 3 will follow in the year, for sure, it's already in my PAL. Then later, I'm glad to know that the recently published Volume 4 Milady! Meanwhile Volume 5, probably mid-2012 (since Volume 3 came out in November 2009 and Volume 4 in January 2011).

I've kept the balance in this film ONLY out in 2010. I saw that 24 (or still 2 per month) and I 've taken the 5 worst and best 5 to make 2 videos .

A tower of about 70 cm or 29 read novels a total of 12,240 pages (mean 422 pages per book), this is my digital record of the year! I do better than last year when I read 'only' 19 lbs. You can find my top 2009 here.
The average of my overall scores is very high with 8 / 10 ! I must say that I choose my books looking good example in Bibliomania if properly noted (not to mention that I participate in baby Livraddict challenges of bringing together the best books of every kind ...).
Speaking of such, my 2 favorite genres of 2010 have been thriller (10 books read) and fantasy (9 pounds). Then, it is fairly diversified : Contemporary youth (2 each), bit-bed, sf, horror, comedy, testimony (1 each).
This year I also participate in the Big Challenge Livraddict 2010 which was a total failure . I set myself to read 10 books ... Result, I read that 2: 'Mercy Thompson T1 "and" I Am Legend. " Since I'd better not in 2011, I avoided myself but I'm re-enroll by the cons Baby Challenges where I am already on track to reach the bronze medal in kind THRILLER \\ o /
Finally, here, now we're going to see my ranking 2010 in reverse, disappointment to the big favorite !
29. Imitation: a parody of The Harvard Lampoon
A big flop for this parody of Twilight that I was not at all pleased. I read it just because it was short and I wanted to see if it was funny .. Imagine how I felt. But I'll still probably read Lord of the cheesy of this magazine (Harvard Lampoon, published in 1969). [link to article]
28. Thomas Drimm T2: The war begins on 13 trees Didier van Cauwelaert
After Volume 1, which had conquered the Volume 2 is close Botching complete. War of the trees is tasteless. Roll on Volume 3 which takes away the taste of sap out of date. My biggest disappointment of the year. [link to article]
27. Mercy Thompson Volume 1: The call of the moon Patricia Briggs
Everyone incense, I decided to take the bit-bed after the Twilight event year passed. What a disappointment! It is a book clearly aimed at young women with his Mercy surrounded by 2 beautiful kids werewolves. A few touches of humor are higher level but overall I was bored to read this first Volume ... 26. goalkeeper will Eric Van Lustbader
a disappointment that this Guardian Testament that promised much with its pitch slightly to the Da Vinci Code. I was not disappointed at any action because the novel does, but rather at the lack of historical and geographical discoveries I expected. The novel is too long and more (over 600 pages) and I got bored towards the middle ... Without any more what a good read for the beach. [link to article]
25. jPod by Douglas Coupland
The oddity of the year. I liked some delusions of the book, the critique of the hierarchy in companies and then the absurd everywhere (much better used in imitation for ex.). Still, I was disappointed by a few lengths, lack of cohesion of certain parts and especially the fact that the author to stage and make the promotion of his old books. [link to article]
24. Emerald Knights, Volume 01: Fire in the sky Anne Robillard
I wanted to read for a while, the Livraddict Mag Fantasy was an opportunity to discover the famous saga hit Quebec. I was very excited about this first volume even if the end disappointed me (and this also explains pe 24th place). A good fantasy saga youth anyway. I advise all beginners who want to get into the genre. [Link to article]
23. Dead Zone by Stephen King
Adept series of the same name starring Anthony Michael Hall, I read the Dead Zone with the desire to know the end-word of history. On this point, I have not been disappointed. It is a good book even if there is less action and more thought than other thrillers. The atmosphere and the time are also different. A good book to discover. [link to article]
22. A poker player Jean-Sébastien Hongre
This is a novel that I found through Livraddict! A contemporary drama without murder or mystical creature, it has become rare that I read and I was changed. I liked this novel because the character made a diving virtiginieuse in poker at the expense of his family. The ending is excellent. I also enjoyed the discussion with the author that ensued during an evening talk on Livraddict. A good 'time Internet 'of the year. [link to article]
21. Zombie Story, Volume 1: Zombie Island by David Wellington
fan of zombies with the comics (and the series) Walking Dead and the kind of films (Romero, Snyder, 28 days later), I finally succumbed to the call of the zombie books Montreuil Book Fair 2010. Read a few weeks later, I was pleasantly surprised by this novel differs in that genre so marked. We begin to arrive in the good books:) [link to article]
20. Emerald Knights, Book 02: The Black Dragon Emperor Anne Robillard
I told you that the end of Volume 1 had disappointed me. Anne Robillard makes up for in Volume 2 with lots of action and intrigue. I feel good progress and I look forward to reading more. Only the number scares me (another 10 volumes, pffiou ^ ^). [link to article]
19. Empire of the Wolves by Jean-Christophe Grange
The year 2010 was a year Grangé. No less than 3 pounds to catch up on this writer that I greatly appreciate. The worst of the 3 was the Empire of the Wolves. Yet well paced and friendly to read, the second part I packed less (once some revelations). The author does however, loses his pen, he enters the top 20! [link to article]
18. The Golden Bramble, Volume 2: The Painting of blood JV Jones
Continuation and end of the burr gold, I still enjoyed the better part 1st. The novel is well constructed, with action and answers to questions from Volume 1. This is not the ultimate in fantasy, but I loved the pen of JV Jones. [link to article]
17. The Top Storytellers, Volume 1: The Voice of the Kings Peru Oliver & Patrick McSpare
is continued in the Fantasy! The High Storytellers will appeal to both teenagers and adults. In a kind of behind closed doors in a British village, we follow the colorful characters in an interesting plot that grew in strength until a final full of action and revelation that promises a sequel even more exciting. I also wait to see the Druid Oliver Péru Editions Eclipse. [link to article]
16. The trilogy shade, T1: The son of Shadow Jon Sprunk
After storytellers, murderers. This Son of the Shadow is action-packed fluid used by the pen of the author. It just lacks a little something to make it a must. The result may be ... That's all the harm I wish him. [link to article]
15. Dress married Pierre Lemaitre
Pierre Lemaitre is an author of thriller, I'll quickly throw me on these other novels. I was very excited about this dress Married although it is unclear at the top of my list (because of some stuff too predictable). Very perverse and stressful, it is a reading that I highly recommend to fans of thriller! [link to the article]
14. River Falls, Volume 2: The Fall River Falls Alexis Aubenque
Almost exactly like that wedding dress. It is just as perverse and stressful. There's just a little more interaction between characters, more action and a little melodramatic frame between the two main characters. A saga that feels good america deep (but written by a French) to find out! Volume 3 was released in 2010 by Calmann-Levy (eg in 2011 and the pocket book ... I hope anyway) [link to article]
13. Miserere by Jean-Christophe Grange
2nd barn for my 2010, it borders on the top 10! Yet this Miserere is very well made, mixing fiction and reality. Essentially a novel for adults, I found enough trash themes seen enough human suffering brought on ... [link to article]
12. Thomas Drimm T1: The end of the world falls on a Thursday Didier van Cauwelaert
While Volume 2 is a big flop, Volume 1 is a very good children's book full humor and cynicism about today's society. Reading this I was very amused and entertained ... Read to realize! [link to article]
11. Those we love Steve Mosby
Mosby My first but certainly not my last, a very successful second novel with a plot that sends shivers down your spine. I am very identified with the hero. The atmosphere builds up until the end. It reads in one sitting. A great discovery! [link to article]
10. Percy Jackson, Volume 2: The sea of monsters Rick Riordan
Aaaah, Percy Jackson! This volume 2 takes everything that I liked Volume 1, the least surprise. Just disappointed by the number of pages not big enough! I can not wait to read more! I like the sagas as fun as Percy Jackson! [link to article]
9. I Am Legend by Richard Matheson
After the film, I discovered the original novel. Different but as good (or better if you do not like the movie like me). This is an example of survival in urban areas. I loved the almost scientific treatment of the theme of vampires in a realistic setting. I relirais surely one day! Essential reading! [link to article]
8. The Oath of Limbe s Jean-Christophe Grange
- Grangé Best of my year 2010, Oath of Limbo itself as one of the best novels by the author of The Crimson Rivers and The Flight of the Storks. He deserves his 8th place. A pad of 760 pages grandiose, with intrigue very well built, surprisingly detailed and takes us where we never thought gone. A must for the author and genre Thriller! [link to article]
7. Green Zone Rajiv Chandrasekaran of
in 7th position, it is neither a thriller, or fantasy, or even as the action film of the same name, is a story of Rajiv Chandrasekaran EXCEPTIONAL on U.S. occupation of Iraq. It's just amazing! It surely does not please everyone but me, I got invested in taking notes and doing research in Wikipedia and I just loved it! An interesting and surprising experience! [link to article]
6. Tara Duncan, Volume 2: The Forbidden Book Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian
Many bloggers keep talking about their girlfriend or Mercy or Anita Bella ... Well me is Tara and all his company:) This saga French youth (cocoricoco) is again top of the basket this year with a Volume 2 still fun, exciting and surprising. In addition, the "mythology" of the saga is still developing, strongly thereafter (already published but need time to read them ^ ^). [link to article]
5. Therapy by Sebastian Fitzek
Y thrillers conventional therapy and there. In the final position of the top 5, this therapy is a monumental slap from the German author Sebastian Fitzek. It is his first novel and more! I will continue to follow him if we did it every time. This thriller is almost impossible to tell. It is powered from beginning to end! It's the perfect kind of book that I read it several times without problem. You can not miss! [link to article]
4. Percy Jackson, Volume 1: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Hehe, Volume 2 was already gone then necessarily Volume 1 was somewhere in the top ... Which foot I had to read this new saga youth! As far as volume 1 of Tara Duncan! Fun, humor and rewriting of Greek mythology, the trident explosive here that made me loved this novel. I also look forward to reading more (in this case the volume 3 already released by Wiz ... but since I started at the LDP Youth ... I take my pain with patience. [link to the Article]
3. Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane
Read in January, the Shutter Island has long been the No. 1 of my 2010. It will not be the case but in any case he has the palm of the thriller of the year! What book blow punch! Dennis Lehane has built a clever puzzle plot tinged story that immerses you in a dark and oppressive on the prison island of Shutter Island. A trip not to be missed! Tel Millennium last year, I will not forget so soon the novel there! [link to article]
2. Outlaw and Exiles, Volume 1: The Fire of Sor'cière James Clemens
Read last novel in 2010 and he won 2nd place, there are some who are lucky! As I write this review, I'm full reading of Volume 2 and I think I can safely assure that this saga is a must for fantasy. It is worthy of the Lord of the Rings is so well written intelligently. It is rhythmic, is full of characters, action, drama, a well detailed background for each character, a bestiary friendly, sometimes cruel, and gore. Outlaw and outlaws, not a Christmas gift but it's like. [link to article]
1. Heart Gem, Volume 1: The Heir of Autumn
of Carwyn & Todd Fahnestock Gyles
This year, my heart is covered with gems of this first book that made me take special taste to the adult fantasy and literary pavers.
The Heir of Autumn is the best of my favorites and my biggest "slap" of the year.
Of all the books I expected end 2010, Volume 2 was at least as high on my wish-list. What a joy when I heard that come out in January 2011!
The plot is exciting, dense, complex but well constructed. There are a lot of action, violence and especially policy, of magic and sex that distinguish this novel everything I could read next. I enjoyed every page, I did not want it to stop ... Finally, I say more in my article if you're interested.
A must buy!
The blog will soon be the colors of the Heart of Gem (if I have enough material ... because apart from the cover, it's not much to illustrate: S If it is the Bane or Shutter ... With Martin Scorsese, I have more illustrative pictures : P).
Oh, and also, just for fun, I have prepared videos about the films I have the least and most popular in the year 2010 ! I'll post it soon!
Otherwise, see you soon for more reviews! My resolution for 2011 is to read as much: )
